Bank ABC appoints Sedjwick Joseph as its new Group Chief Credit and Risk Officer

Bank ABC announces the appointment of Sedjwick Joseph as its new Group Chief Credit and Risk Officer. He had been serving as the Chief Risk Officer for Bank ABC in Europe since December 2015 and with this promotion he will be joining the Group’s headquarters in Bahrain.

With this new role, Sedjwick also joins the Bank’s Management Committee (Mancom) and will be reporting to the Group CEO, Dr. Khaled Kawan and to the Board Risk Committee. Sedjwick will be responsible for Group Credit and Risk functions and will work closely with both the business and support functions to aid the Group strategy as well as further enhance the Group Credit and Risk Management framework and capabilities.

Commenting on this development, Dr. Khaled Kawan, said: “We are excited to appoint Sedjwick as our Group Chief Credit Risk Officer. Sedjwick has over 25 years of banking experience across credit, risk management, portfolio management and analytics. Prior to joining Bank ABC, Sedjwick worked with a number of leading banks holding both country and regional roles across multiple geographies, including Europe, Middle East, Asia, US and Africa.

Sedjwick has a master’s degree in business and a bachelor’s degree in engineering. He is a regular speaker at Risk Management & Credit conferences.
