The Ministry of Finance (MoF) held a remote training session for users of the federal financial system – Oracle – in government entities. The session aimed to train the participants on the Payment System, as part of the ministry’s keenness to provide quick and innovative solutions to continue working during the crisis, and to enhance the efficiency and performance of workers across ministries and federal entities when it comes to the use of financial systems.
The training session, which was attended by more than 20 employees from different federal entities, encompassed a detailed explanation, as well as a practical demonstration for the entire payments process. The trainees were asked to implement these experiments within the training environment of the federal financial system. Then, the trainees’ questions were answered by the trainers. At the end of the session, the trainees were given a test in their field of specialisation, and they obtained MoF-approved e-certificates of participation.
Her Excellency Mariam Mohammad Al Amiri, Assistant Undersecretary for the Management of Financial Resources at MoF, reiterated the ministry’s commitment to improve the capabilities and efficiency of the financial system users from federal entities’ employees.
Her Excellency said: “The Ministry of Finance continues to perform its tasks, foremost of which is to train employees of federal entities on the financial system in an optimal manner. The ministry uses the latest digital developments and advanced technological infrastructure to provide all its services and perform all procedures remotely and efficiently.”
Furthermore, MoF intends to follow all its approved training courses within the 2020 training plan via digital communication technology. These courses include training on different federal financial systems and other relevant accounting procedures, tax procedures and procedures of revenue collection in the e-Dirham system.
The Ministry of Finance holds an annual training programme aimed at boosting the capabilities of federal government entities’ employees in various areas of their financial work. MoF is keen to invest its advanced technical resources in organising specialised training programmes that support its employees and enable them to work to the highest standards.
