Fortis Digital Solutions, a UAE-based technology ecosystem that integrates POS, payments, and business management tools, and Paymob, one of the financial services enablers in the MENA region, announced an integration partnership.
Under this partnership, Paymob merchants can install Fortis SmartPOS directly on its Paymob terminals and convert them into a complete POS solution. Fortis SmartPOS brings order taking, customer profiles, loyalty programmes, and daily sales tracking to the same terminal merchants already use for card and cash acceptance, shift management, and reporting.
Merchants can also leverage Fortis’ cloud platform to get real-time visibility into sales, orders, and inventory across the business. New Paymob customers can activate the feature during onboarding, while existing merchants can have it installed remotely by the Fortis team, without any hardware swap.
The partnership arrives as digital payment adoption accelerates across the UAE, and SMEs increasingly look for technology that goes beyond payment acceptance alone. A recent survey found that 92% of UAE SMEs now accept digital payment solutions, a signal of how ready the market is for tools that help merchant run their business end-to-end.
“Many SMEs recognise the value of digitising its operations, but the complexity of adopting new systems can often stand in the way. By bringing Fortis SmartPOS to Paymob devices, we make it easier for merchants to take that step without a complete overhaul of the systems they already rely on. For us, this partnership is about making digital transformation simpler, more accessible and achievable for SMEs,” says Sandeep Gomes, managing director of Fortis.
Paymob offers one of the region’s most comprehensive ranges of payment acceptance methods, enabling businesses of all sizes to accept online and in-store. By bringing Fortis’ business management capabilities directly to Paymob payment terminals, the two companies are giving merchants a way to run more of their daily operations from a device they already use.
“Payments are just one part of running a successful business. Merchants already trust Paymob to power their payments, and with Fortis, we’re building on that trust by helping them go beyond acceptance and take greater control of their operations. By bringing sales management, customer insights, and more of the tools they need into one experience, we’re making it easier for merchants to run their businesses, make smarter decisions, and focus on what matters most: their customers,” says Nour Abdelmotteleb, head of partnerships at Paymob.
